Hermana NYC is located at 349 e 13th Street in the heart of the East Village. It is new concept restaurant that opened during the pandemic to give musicians a new home to play in while gigs were few and far between and only “incidental music” was allowed in restaurants while clubs were closed.

Our brand “Tacos, Tequila, Jazz”. Open Tuesday - Sunday (closed mondays for now) with live jazz nightly from 7-10pm and will likely expand the music once they are allowed to stay open later.

“Singer and musician Aida Brandes-Hargrove writes, arranges and produces music. Aida is self taught and draws from a diverse pool of music with its main roots in jazz, hip hop and rnb, while also being informed by different influences from pop, classical and world music genres.

As a solo artist Aida has released two singles, 'Not a game' and 'Waterfalls' in 2015 and 2016 respectively. She teamed up with director Kate Marks (HBO access) to produce a very personal video project entitled 'ALMUT'. More recently she released "Faith No.5", a simple, yet beautifully moody and intimate piano and voice feature with an unexpected upbeat turn, followed by "That Bullsh*t" in 2018.

Her Big Band arrangements have been featured by the Roy Hargrove Big Band and Slide Hampton. She is also a proud Harlem Arts Festival 2017 artist.”
