Kayvon Gordon is one of the world’s most in demand drummers. He’s had the honor of sharing the stage with musicians such as Marcus Belgrave, Joe Lovano, Johnny O’Neal, Robert Hurst, Rodney Whitaker, Sullivan Fortner, Ravi Coltrane, JD Allen, and countless others. Kayvon seeks to contribute to the forward thinking aesthetic of his contemporaries while honoring the rich musical legacy of Detroit. Richard Clements is a NY stalwart pianist with an incredible history of performing with the world’s tops. Aside from being the hand chosen protege of Barry Harris, Richard performed with greats like Abby Lincoln, Charlie Persip, and moved to Paris joining Archie Shepp’s band. Join us in celebrating at 11th Street Bar in the East Village for a live and up close concert of his quintet, often featuring jazz greats Joe Magnarelli and Grant Stewart.
